A New Zealander by birth and for the start of her career, Dianne worked in a broad range of service industries before departing for the UK. Dianne was in London for 4½ years at a leading full-service marketing agency and worked with blue chip accounts such as Mobil Oil and British Airways. Dianne later moved and founded one of the first full-service agencies in South Africa. At the end of 2002, Dianne decided to concentrate on the growing demand in the business strategy consultancy arena, which also took her beyond the South African borders, to successfully complete work in Australia, the UK, Holland, Kenya and Zambia. Her client base has been broad, both in terms of size and sectors, ranging from start-up entrepreneurial businesses to international corporates and professional practices.
Dianne has held the IMM (Institute of Marketing Management) Chairmanship in the KZN Inland Region; she was the first female member of the Rotary Club of Pietermaritzburg and served as a Board Director in 2006/07. She was a Board Member for St John’s DSG (1996-2010) and was a non-Executive Director of WESSA (Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa), serving as Vice-Chair of the Board from 2007 to 2015. She served as a Board Member of Grace College (2015-2021), holding the Chairs of both the Strategic and Marketing sub-committees.
In addition, Dianne Chairs many of her Clients’ Board and ManCo meetings and serves as a trusted, outside 3rd party, providing guidance for effective corporate governance.
Dianne is married to Keith, a veterinarian and epidemiologist and they have two children.
Garth is an experienced CEO and Marketing Director, with a demonstrated history working in global and national FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) roles with Unilever, and in the Health & Wellness industry with SA Natural Products. Garth was with Unilever for 18 years, fulfilling various Director roles. These had levels of responsibility in numerous branded categories across South Africa, Africa and Europe (as a Global Marketing Director based in Switzerland, in a JV with Pepsico).
Garth’s skills centre around business strategy, team leadership, consumer and business marketing and identifying business growth opportunities. He is a strong business development professional, with leading corporate and medium-sized business leadership experience. He is an involved member of YPO, with valuable links to its leading business ethics and success factors. Having left the corporate world, Garth entered Business Strategy work and the joint ownership of TwoDotDash compliance software – where competitive advantage and growth opportunities for businesses flourish. A proud father of 3 young boys and husband of an inspiring wife, Garth is a firm believer in the positive future of technology, teamwork and opportunity – for businesses of all sizes and for society as a whole.
